Privacy Policy

Boater League is a nonprofit adult 5v5 outdoor turf soccer league based in Tucson, Arizona. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. It is written for how the league currently operates and may be updated as registration, payments, and tools come online.

What we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Waitlist: first and last name, email, phone / WhatsApp, role type (outfield or dedicated goalkeeper), skill level, player-referee interest, and confirmation that you understand waitlist terms.
• Registration (when open): profile details, age (18+), position, availability/role tier, jersey preferences, waiver acceptance, and e-signature name.
• Contact / sponsorship / feedback: whatever you choose to send by email or form, such as name, email, business details, and message content.
• Technical basics: limited browser information (such as user agent) may be stored with waitlist submissions for spam/abuse review.

How we use information

• Run the Season One waitlist and notify you about early registration access
• Communicate league updates, schedule changes, and operational messages
• Form teams via the draft pool and manage roster, jersey, and match-night logistics
• Respond to player, sponsor, and general inquiries
• Improve safety, fairness, and league operations

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited details with operators and vendors only as needed to run the league (for example, jersey production, venue coordination, payment processing when checkout is enabled, or spreadsheet/email tools we use to organize the season).

Where information is stored

Waitlist submissions are currently stored in a Google Sheet controlled by the Boater League account and received through a Google Apps Script webhook. Email may be handled through admin@boaterleague.com and related Google / email tools. Website analytics may be collected via Vercel Analytics on boaterleague.com.

WhatsApp and social

If you join the Boater League Players Chat or follow league social channels, those platforms process your data under their own policies. Joining WhatsApp is optional and separate from the website waitlist.

Retention

We keep waitlist and player records for as long as needed to operate Season One and plan upcoming seasons, then remove or archive them when they are no longer needed for league operations or legal requirements.

Your choices

To update or remove waitlist information, ask a privacy question, or request deletion where practical, email admin@boaterleague.com. If you no longer want league updates, say so in that email and we will stop non-essential messages.

Children

Boater League is for ages 18+. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy as the league’s tools and processes change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site or waitlist after an update means you accept the revised policy.
